KEY COMPONENTS OF THE MASTER PROGRAMME:

The MSc in Business Management aims to provide students with a comprehensive view of international management, exploring the critical factors for cross-national business success, the impact of globalisation on the international business environment, trade theories, and internationalisation strategies.
As part of the Management specialisation, Master students explore:
- Entrepreneurial activity and its role in sustaining growth, identifying markets and seizing opportunity within a global economy
- Leadership and how effective practices impact employees, customers and other stakeholders
- The structures of information delivery and the impact on products, services, operations, decision-making, marketing, and distribution
- International project management an new approaches to dealing with geographical dispersed groups of individuals and resources
- Crossing national borders in the business world, and the operational, legal and logistical problems that commonly occur
- Human resources, internal marketing and the dynamics of effective leadership as a strategic factor in gaining competitive advantage in the global market
- Practical examinations of the marketing strategies of international organisations.
The Master of Science in Finance prepares fund managers and professional investment analysts for entrance into the banking and finance sector. The course examines the principles of financing and investment decisions and their impact across a broad range of contemporary management concerns.
As part of the Finance specialisation, Master students explore:
- Classical and contemporary corporate financing approaches with respect to multinational firms in developed and developing markets
- The viability and appropriateness of a corporate mergers or acquisitions through evaluation and analysis
- Value assessment and enterprise value
- Risk management and different theories and approaches for the multinational enterprise
- The necessity for new approaches to dealing with geographical dispersed groups of individuals as well as other resources in international project management
The MSc Business Management with specialisation in Marketing prepares candidates for a wide variety of careers in marketing management, such as brand management, product development, retailing, services marketing, business to business marketing and marketing for non-profit organisations.
As part of the Marketing specialisation, Master students explore:
- Innovative practices in both manufacturing and service sectors and how firms can gain competitive advantage, market share and reduce cost
- E-commerce, E-business, and the optimisation of technological structures as a strategic marketing tool
- Marketing strategies of international organisations and approaches to a new international market opportunities
- Customer-driven marketing strategies in emerging economies
- The connectivity between marketing communication and strategy, and criteria for using different promotional techniques and media in integrated marketing campaigns
